The Open Platform unveils self custody wallet TON Space
The Open Platform (TOP) has unveiled TON Space, a self-custodial wallet. According to TOP's announcement, TON Space has experienced remarkable growth throughout its development stage.
In September, Telegram, a popular chat app with 800 million monthly active users, announced the launch of its self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet, TON Space, in a calculated move that strengthens its position in the crypto community.
TON Space self-custody wallet
During the beta development period, over 100 million Telegram users created self-custodial wallets using TON Space, the post added. Because of the development, users can now switch between different account types and access both custodial and non-custodial wallet options within a single interface. Improved navigation is another feature of the updated platform, which aims to make onboarding new users easier.
"The launch of our self-custodial wallet is yet another milestone in our journey to achieve this goal," said Andrew Rogozov, CEO of The Open Platform. "By 2028, we aim to engage 30% of Telegram users in the TON ecosystem." The launch of a self-custodial wallet on Telegram could introduce a significant number of users to the world of digital assets, especially those in developing countries who lack access to banking. This change gives developers the ability to effectively manage the flows of digital assets and create unique experiences on the platform.
The TON Space custodial wallet's new features
Staking aggregation solutions, decentralized exchange (DEX) integration, dApp catalog, and mechanisms for NFT and Jetton giveaways are among the new features that TON Space plans to launch. The aim of these integrations is to help TON blockchain developers and make their apps more discoverable.
TOP is a venture builder and venture capital firm that specializes in early-stage TON blockchain projects. It provides developers the resources, expertise, and funds they need to create scalable web3 products that are ready for widespread use.
According to CoinMarketCap, Toncoin's price dropped by more than 5% in the past 24 hours, trading for $5.38 at the time of writing.
