OKX Ventures partners with Aptos Foundation to launch $10M Ecosystem Growth Fund

OKX Ventures and Aptos Foundation have partnered to launch a new $10 million ecosystem growth fund with the goal of fostering the expansion of the Aptos ecosystem and the broad adoption of Web3.

The fund will be utilized to create an accelerator program run in collaboration with Ankaa with the goal of supporting the development of quality projects and applications developed on Aptos, a scalable Layer 1 Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain that leverages the Move programming language to improve the reliability, user-friendliness, and security of on-chain transactions, according to a press release by the company.

Through the accelerator, a select number of Aptos ecosystem projects will receive venture support, go-to-market exposure, focused mentorship, and access to our team's vast network of experts, which includes Ankaa and the Aptos Foundation.

Five promising projects will be selected by a panel of judges consisting of representatives from the Aptos Foundation, our investment arm OKX Ventures, and the Ankaa teams to be included in the first accelerator cohort, which will launch in September.

According to the post, Ankaa will run the accelerator's day-to-day operations and serve as the first investor in projects that are accepted. The initial key focus areas of the accelerator will be infrastructure, DeFi, RWA, gaming, social, AI, and other dApps that are essential to the development and expansion of the Aptos ecosystem and Web3 in general.

The Ankaa accelerator program will be accepting applications starting in August. Aptos Foundation, Ankaa, and our investment arm OKX Ventures invite all interested developers and projects to get in touch with their teams through the website here.

OKX Ventures has invested in nearly 300 projects on five continents over the last two years, covering nearly every investment track with a fund size of about $1 billion. With the Aptos Foundation partnership, OKX Ventures hopes to drive long-term value for the ecosystem by increasing the amount of support and exploration it devotes to high-quality projects and cutting-edge blockchain technology.
