Injective and Arbitrum Partner to Launch Interoperable EVM Infrastructure inEVM

Injective, a blockchain with a Cosmos foundation, is introducing its own layer-3 network within the Ethereum ecosystem, utilizing the technologies from the layer-2 project Arbitrum.

According to a blog post published on the Injective website today, Arbitrum and Injective are together pioneering a novel interoperable EVM infrastructure. The company's partnership with Arbitrum, the foremost Layer 2 technology stack, will empower projects to innovate and expand within Ethereum.

Injective's "inEVM," which connects the Ethereum, Cosmos, and Solana networks and is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) operating system, will rely on Arbitrum’s Orbit stack, a powerful toolkit developed by Offchain Labs for its infrastructure. This powerful toolkit makes it possible for developers to construct layer 2 solutions that are scalable, safe, and effective while also enabling the smooth integration of smart contracts across various blockchain platforms.

As seen in the blog post, through the perfect integration of components from both the native Injective Mainnet and Arbitrum, inEVM is able to offer a developer experience like no other.

For example, inEVM can use INJ, its native gas token, in a way that has never been done before in the L2 rollup space. In addition, inEVM can provide the same well-known development tools that are available on Ethereum, like Foundry and Hardhat. All of this is accomplished without sacrificing the lightning-fast speeds and low gas costs of the injective itself.

Furthermore, Injective's ground-breaking Burn Auction is open to inEVM transactions. Every week, a portion of all protocol fees is systematically burned by this auction mechanism. With Injective's Burn Auction, protocol value is captured for every user, benefiting all players in the ecosystem—developers, community members, and users alike.

The post explained that the significance of Injective’s integration with Arbitrum extends far beyond the confines of a single blockchain network. By providing a smooth platform that connects Ethereum, Injective, and Cosmos, inEVM allows users to benefit from cross-chain compatibility and promotes a more interconnected blockchain ecosystem. Because of its interoperability, users and developers can transfer assets and liquidity between different blockchain networks with ease, creating a plethora of new opportunities.

With every step it takes to close the gap between Ethereum, Cosmos, and other popular L1s, like Solana, Injective steadfastly pursues its goal of utilizing decentralization to create a more democratic financial future.

Injective’s inEVM integration with Arbitrum Orbit is set to bring a fully customized interoperable rollup across Cosmos and Ethereum. Built by injective and Caldera, the modular blockchain platform inEVM enables ultra-fast transaction speeds across injective, Cosmos, and Arbitrum.
