The Google cloud platform on September 18 released a blog post by Nalin Mittal Web3 Product Lead for the company stating that the new service reduces the complexity of managing node infrastructure by giving developers a streamlined method to interact with blockchain data. It is also cost-effective, reliable, and scalable.
Why Google Cloud launched the Blockchain RPC Service for Web3 developers?
The performance and availability of Web3 applications can be affected by RPC reliability, which presents a big challenge for developers. To make sure their applications continue to function, many developers today rely on several RPC providers.
Google Cloud is bringing its experience operating huge infrastructure to the Web3 ecosystem with Google Cloud's Blockchain RPC service, providing a solid backbone for DApps (decentralized applications), the post added.
Features of Blockchain RPC Service
The Blockchain RPC service serves developers from a variety of backgrounds, including large enterprises that need the performance, security, and dependability of Google Cloud's infrastructure, as well as startups looking for a quick and simple way to get started with blockchain technology. Blockchain RPC is available for free for the first 100 requests per second, allowing developers to build data-intensive, real-time applications.
Along with supporting the Ethereum mainnet and testnets at launch, the service will add support for multiple other chains over the course of the following year. Blockchain RPC can be integrated into applications with just one line of code because it is fully compatible with the Ethereum JSON-RPC standard.
Kyle Quintal, Head of Engineering at 0xArc, explained that Google Cloud's Blockchain RPC offerings, which deliver quick response times, are exactly what you would expect from the platform. Quintal further said that because Google Cloud offers a free tier in addition to complying with EIP1474 standards, we immediately integrated its service into our system and haven't looked back.
The Blockchain RPC service is now in preview globally, enabling developers to create the Web3 applications of the future. Additionally, on October 10, 2024, the Google Cloud will be holding a webinar to talk about the Blockchain RPC product and the future of its Web3 Portal. The Web3 Portal, a suite of products from Google Cloud, was unveiled on April 25. It provides blockchain developers with resources such as tutorials and data sets.
