According to a post by Floki on X, the company will be able to tap into Vietnam's booming cryptocurrency market with the aid of this creative new campaign.
Vietnam is a country of 100 million people, the 15th largest country in the world by population, and its adoption rate of 21.2% indicates an emerging market.
The five-week strategic marketing campaign, which aims to engage a high adoption rate of cryptocurrencies in the country, launches on June 17th in Ho Chi Minh City, the financial heart of Vietnam. We will roll out a combination of a large quantity of colorful LED displays and eye-catching large-format digital displays in high-traffic retail environments in just under 200 locations across the city.
With up to 300,000 people walking by these prime locations every day, maximum visibility and engagement are guaranteed. Ho Chi Minh City, which has a population of less than 10 million, contributes approximately 25% of Vietnam's GDP and has a GDP per capita that is more than 2.5 times higher than that of the nation. This makes the audience extremely valuable and receptive to the Floki campaign.
Vietnam is a global leader in the use of cryptocurrency. In 2023, it ranked third with $1.18 trillion in operating user value. The country has 21 million cryptocurrency owners among its tech-savvy youth. Nearly 70% of the population in Vietnam lacks access to adequate financial services, accounting for a significant proportion of the country’s unbanked population.
This has made cryptocurrencies particularly alluring because many people can use their crypto assets for basic banking services, thereby avoiding the drawbacks of traditional banking.
In addition, a significant portion of the populace does not have access to traditional banking services, making cryptocurrencies a vital financial solution.
A recent survey found that 75% of GameFi cryptocurrency investors started investing in digital currencies after using these platforms, demonstrating the high adoption rate of play-to-earn gaming, or GameFi, in the nation. This pattern is advantageous to Floki's Valhalla project and is probably going to help Floki and TokenFi become more widely used, the statement added.
