Donald Trump to attend Bitcoin 2024 Conference despite assassination attempt

Donald Trump, the former US president who narrowly avoided being assassinated on July 13 in Pennsylvania, will be at the Bitcoin conference in Nashville, Tennessee, where he will give the keynote address.

The event that will be held, which is set to take place from July 25 to July 27, attracts cryptocurrency enthusiasts from all over the world. Trump's attendance was confirmed by David Bailey, CEO of Bitcoin Magazine and one of the main organizers of the event, via X on July 14.

Trump has shown a strong commitment to the cryptocurrency industry in recent months. In early May, he announced that he would accept cryptocurrency contributions for his presidential campaign in 2024. In June, he promoted Bitcoin mining and hosted business leaders at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

Bitcoin breaks above $62,000 after Trump survives an assassination attempt, in addition to Germany’s completion of its Bitcoin sale

This week started off on a very positive note for Bitcoin (BTC), the most valuable cryptocurrency in the world, as it broke through $60,000. The recent price spike has put bitcoin price predictions back in the spotlight. Altcoins' value has grown in tandem with the market's general sentiment, as Bitcoin (BTC) has surged by more than $60,000.

The unsuccessful attempt on the life of Donald Trump on Saturday near Butler, Pennsylvania, appears to have sparked an immediate response in the cryptocurrency markets, as sentiment data on Bitcoin shows. This caused the price of bitcoin to soar to $60,000, the highest level since July 4, ten days earlier.

Following constant bitcoin transfers to wallets on Bitstamp, Coinbase, Kraken, B2C2 Group, Cumberland DRW, and other platforms, the German government reportedly sold and cleared out its cryptocurrency wallet last Friday, according to data from Arkham Intelligence. The transfers appear to be related to Germany's plan to sell 50,000 bitcoins that it took from a website that lets people download pirated movies illegally. The news of the German government's plan to sell its Bitcoin increased selling pressure on the market. After a brutal few weeks, Bitcoin is starting to stabilize above $60,000.

Bitcoin has increased by over 3% in the last day, surpassing the $60,000 threshold and trading at about $63,000 at the time of writing, according to CoinMarketCap.
