The company made this announcement on Thursday: “We're thrilled to reveal the Coinbase Wallet web app, an innovative platform that is your one-stop destination for everything onchain.”
The Coinbase Wallet web app is a brand-new website that can be accessed on mobile and desktop platforms. The tool is designed to change users’ portfolios of diverse cryptocurrencies with a single, unified interface, it added. Users can explore the most recent NFT mints, trade and view your cryptocurrency holdings across all of your wallets with ease, and access all of your assets in one streamlined, full-screen interface.
360-degree view of your holdings, connecting all your smart wallets, trading over 2 million tokens across 8 different chains (Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, BSC, Polygon, Avalanche, and Solana) from any of your wallets, exploring the dedicated portal for your smart wallet to view all your assets and activity in one place, and creator tools that give you ownership over your content and a chance to make more money were stated as some of the key features of the web app.
"We're merging some of our existing onchain products, like the best of Coinbase NFT, into this new Coinbase Wallet web app experience as part of this exciting new chapter. We concentrated on the features that our users requested the most, such as the minting and creator tools," the post added.
Similar products have already been introduced by other wallet providers, like Exodus, as the market attempts to attract less tech-savvy investors. For example, it can occasionally be challenging to use cold or decentralized wallets.
Last month, U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase and payment processor Stripe teamed up to expand their current product suite to include support for Layer 2 Network Base. The company said on June 27 that the partnership will enable transfers of USDC stablecoins on Base. The Coinbase Wallet is integrated with Stripe's fiat-to-crypto on-ramp through the integration of USDC on Base.
