Bitcoin Lighting Payment App Strike Expands Services to Europe

The global money app for fast, safe payments and Bitcoin, Strike, has announced its expansion into Europe, providing a platform for millions of eligible customers in the region to trade and exchange Bitcoin (BTC).

Strike, the payments application using the Bitcoin blockchain, was announced on Wednesday via a blog post titled “Announcing Strike Europe” and a tweet posted by founder and CEO Jack Mallers.

The highly anticipated launch for European customers will enable individuals and businesses to buy Bitcoin with free, instant, and unlimited deposits, sell, send, and withdraw Bitcoin, make global payments including local currency, use Bitcoin and lightning wallet features, and more.

Eligible customers in the region can visit their local Android Play Store or iOS app store to check if the Strike app is available in their respective country.

This expansion allows Strike to uniquely position itself to tap into the vast opportunities for Bitcoin adoption in the third-largest economy globally, with over 440 million people. In addition to solving the problem of lack of access to Bitcoin for millions of people in Europe.

With a vision to build and design a bitcoin-only money application that is secure, accessible, functional, and available to billions of users globally, the company launched its services in Asia, the Caribbean, and Latin America and recently expanded to Africa. Now active in nearly 100 countries across the globe.

Strike's global sending function allows users to buy, sell, send, and withdraw bitcoin with ease; deposit or withdraw from your Euro balance using SEPA transfers; schedule recurring purchases; use Strike’s global P2P transfers with Lightning; send money globally to family and friends; and earn referral credits.

The U.S.-based app Strike offers all the best Bitcoin and Lightning wallet features, with support for free on-chain withdrawals, zero-value invoices, and Lightning address payments.

Jack Mallers added that Strike is currently also accepting applications from eligible business entities who would like to open a Strike account to provide support for all their bitcoin needs. In addition, these businesses will have access to the Strike API to enable the automation of transactions on their Strike account.

He concluded that the expansion to Europe marks another milestone in Strike's global journey, and the company will continue to enter new markets and expand its services.
